You are Chosen Not Forsaken - Wrestling with the Voice of Condemnation

I am not good enough. I'll never find love again. I can't share the Word of God because of my terrible past. Does God still count my sins against me. Lies. Lies.  These may some thoughts you face if you are you struggling with negative voices that keep on bombarding your mind and telling you that you are guilty and that God has rejected you. Maybe it not be you personally. Maybe it can be someone that you know who is struggling with these voices. I want to tell you one thing: Don't listen to these voices go to the word of God!

We have to learn to respond to the enemy with the voice of God! This is exactly what Jesus did when the enemy showed up and kept bombarding him with twisted lies in Matthew 4. You see the Bible calls the enemy the subtill animal in Genesis 3 meaning that Satan is crafty, deceitful, and he is full of tricks. Satan, is a deceiver and accuser, so what he does is twist the word of God and even your own life circumstances to accuse you and condemn you.

For me, what the enemy has done is using my past mistakes when I was in the world before I came to Christ to condemn me. As someone who thinks a lot, he managed to wedge his way in to my mind with thoughts of condemnation , anxiety, and fear of the unknown and a bunch of what ifs that Jesus already answered  and defeated once and for all for me on the cross of calvary.

The Holy Spirit has taught me how to truly respond to this accuser by first knowing and applying the Word, and then believing and trusting that the blood of Jesus and the finished work on the cross is final. I have had to truly come to a place of understanding that God truly loves me and that can never change. Even when I sin and fall short of His glory it is not me that God has but it is the sin itself. Before complaining, crying, and getting in your feelings, I've had to catch myself and say nope, I am God's child and this is what His Word says! Sometimes I literally say out LOUD "SHUT UP DEVIL! I MUTE YOUR VOICE."

Some of these things may sound easier said than done, but this Christian walk is a journey with God that we must engage daily. What I've personally noticed is that when I begin to stay longer periods without truly diving into my word, praying, and even listening to the word. And even worship, the more I lose sight and not even reinforce the truth of the Word of God over my life!

This blog is to encourage you and remind you that you are the apple of God's eye (Psalm 17:8), you are made and His image and likeness, and He so much loved you that He sent his only son Jesus to die for you that you would experience His life and have eternal access to Him! He is your God are His people. He is your Father and you are His Child! Nothing can change that. I am convinced that God will never ever leave me nor you! And He is always patiently waiting for me to come to Him so that He can show me His mercy and wrap me in the embrace of His love!!

So the next time the enemy wants to come to you with a lie tell him not today and not ever devil! Tell him this: Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.( (Romans 8:33-34 NLT). You were defeated on the Cross of Calvary and you will always remain defeated. You have no place in my mind or my life! I am free from all forms of mental captivity in Jesus Name.

What a father, friend, comfort we have in Jesus! Comment below: What are some ways you have overcome the voice of condemnation?
